Music Monday: Toronto x Grammys

Last night at the Grammys, Toronto was well-represented by homegrown talents Drake and Melanie Fiona (my new favourite R&B artist). Sadly, neither of them were able to grab an award as Drake and Fiona lost to Jay-Z and Beyoncé, respectively. But really, if you're losing to seasoned vets like the hottest couple in the game, that is definitely a slight consolation. So in honour of them holding it down for Toronto, I dedicate today's Music Monday to them.
First off, we've got Drizzy's performance of "Forever" with Lil' Wayne and Eminem (after the "Drop the World" intro).

Second, we have Melanie Fiona's video for "It Kills Me", the song that earned her a Best Female R&B Vocal Performance nomination.

Although they couldn't snag any awards, Drake doesn't even have an album out yet (look out Grammy night 2011!) and Melanie's signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label so look for her to do big things in the near future. In the meantime, I'm enjoying their music; hopefully you are too.
Thanks to Complex for the uncensored version
