PRPLMNT and Saint48 have teamed up to create the W-Shock watches, a wooden version of the resurgingly popular G-Shock wristpiece and the detailing is created with a hand/laser crafted wood bezel. At the moment, the W-Shock comes in two colourways and retails for $260 USD on their webstore. What do you think? Is this a (not so) cheap rip-off or a cool innovation?

It's a cool idea and I could see it being rockable for some people (I'm not one of them), but the combination of the wood, the ugly digital display and the word 'illuminator' on the front makes it look like it was found at either value village or the dollar store...
